Agency Audit
Frame.io consolidates video, design, and marketing asset review into a single workspace with native Adobe Premiere Pro integration, eliminating the need for separate feedback tools. It's built for creative agencies, video production teams, and marketing agencies handling client deliverables that require precise, timestamped feedback and custom-branded client presentations. The platform supports task assignment, transcription-based search, and permission-controlled sharing, making it viable for agencies to resell as a client collaboration retainer. However, white-label capability is unverified, and pricing scales per-member, which may limit margin on smaller client projects.

Platform Features
Core capabilities of Frame.io
Native Adobe Premiere Pro streaming
Frame.io files stream directly into Adobe Premiere Pro, allowing editors to review and apply feedback without downloading or re-uploading assets. This eliminates file-transfer bottlenecks and reduces revision cycles, which agencies can market as faster turnaround to clients.
Precise timestamped feedback
Reviewers leave comments pinned to specific frames or timestamps in videos and images. Agencies can use this to reduce ambiguous revision requests and lower the revision count per project (VMWare reported 20% fewer revisions).
Custom-branded client presentations
Frame.io generates shareable presentations with custom branding on the Pro plan and above. Agencies can embed client logos and color schemes, though Frame.io branding remains visible on the platform itself.
Automatic transcription and captions
Frame.io generates searchable, speaker-labeled transcripts and captions from uploaded video. Agencies can offer this as a value-add for video clients and reduce manual captioning work.
Project and task assignment
Agencies assign creative tasks to team members and track project status within Frame.io. This consolidates workflow management into one tool instead of requiring a separate project tracker.
Flexible metadata and collections
Assets can be organized with custom metadata and grouped into collections, enabling agencies to structure client libraries by campaign, season, or asset type for easy retrieval.

Bottom Line
Frame.io consolidates video, design, and marketing asset review into a single workspace with native Adobe Premiere Pro integration, eliminating the need for separate feedback tools. It's built for creative agencies, video production teams, and marketing agencies handling client deliverables that require precise, timestamped feedback and custom-branded client presentations. The platform supports task assignment, transcription-based search, and permission-controlled sharing, making it viable for agencies to resell as a client collaboration retainer. However, white-label capability is unverified, and pricing scales per-member, which may limit margin on smaller client projects.
Reality Check
Frame.io charges per team member (Pro at $15/mo per member, Team at $25/mo per member), so reselling to clients with large creative teams erodes margins unless you bundle it into a higher-tier retainer. No verified white-label or custom-domain offering means client-facing portals will display Frame.io branding, limiting your ability to present it as a proprietary agency tool.

What agencies say about Frame.io
“This company has gone downhill and is a…”
This company has gone downhill and is a nightmare to use. I don't see how anyone would continue to be a customer and use this messy, sloppy software that is overly complicated for no reason. It was wonderful and I have been a customer for many years. When they changed the entire platform and layout last year they destroyed the best of frame.io. Every time I use it, there is a problem. They show your clients metadata and say there is nothing they can do. Imagine uploading your work and your client gets to see all the times and dates you are working. It's a violation of my privacy. When I sort photos or videos in one folder and say I want them in alphabetical order. Then change another folder to a numerical order, it changes all my folders. So they say you can customize each folder but that is a lie. If you think you have any control over what your client sees, you would be wrong. They have made this program bloated, messy, sloppy and overly complicated and overly technical for zero reason. All their new features and additions are cumbersome glitches that are impossible to work with. I'm walking away from this disaster after being a happy client for years. Their customer service is untrained and robotic and wrong. They've wasted hours of my life to only in the end say fill out 'suggest a feature'. At this point I am cutting my losses and finding a new company that is professional and who follows my requests, not the other way around.

I'd never even heard of this company and received an email saying my 1 month trial had ended and I was to update my payment details. They are a scam. I've emailed them and permanently unsubscribed.
Read on Trustpilot“The user face is terrible”
The user face is terrible, there is so much information, yet so little. It is impossible to see the details of the films and to move across project. Each project having a different colour icon is so aesthetically unpleasing. I feel validated that everyone else feels the same.
