You want to white-label the entire platform with your agency branding; no verified white-label program exists in the content, meaning client-facing surfaces display the Supermetrics brand.
You operate on a tight margin and cannot absorb per-client subscription costs; Supermetrics charges per destination and data source, so a multi-client agency will accumulate costs quickly (Growth plan at $177/year per client adds up).
Bottom Line
Supermetrics unifies data from 100+ marketing sources (Facebook Ads, Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) into BI tools, data warehouses, and AI platforms like Claude and ChatGPT, automating collection, cleaning, and live dashboard generation. Agencies can resell this as a data consolidation retainer for clients managing multiple ad platforms or ecommerce operations. The platform supports audience segmentation and data activation back to ad platforms, making it viable for performance-focused client verticals. Best fit: agencies serving ecommerce, DTC brands, or enterprise marketing teams that currently juggle disconnected reporting tools.
Reality Check
Supermetrics requires clients to grant API access to their marketing accounts (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, etc.), creating a dependency on the agency to manage credentials and refresh schedules. If a client revokes access or switches agencies, data pipelines break immediately. Data refresh frequency is limited to daily on lower-tier plans (weekly on Starter), which may not suit real-time optimization workflows.
Moderate effort: standard configuration with some customization needed

Why this category matters
The commercial case before the tooling.
Core concepts
The mental model you need to price and scope the work.
- Connector Standardization PremiumConcept
The Connector Standardization Premium framework argues that agencies that standardize on a single multi-source reporting platform can transform reporting from a cost center into a margin driver. By consolidating data from dozens of sources into one governed pipeline, agencies build reusable templates and automated delivery workflows that reduce manual effort and ensure consistent, branded client views. This standardization enables premium retainers because clients pay for speed, accuracy, and insight, not spreadsheet labor. However, the framework warns of vendor lock-in: if the chosen platform shifts pricing or source coverage, the agency's entire reporting stack is at risk. For example, an agency using Funnel's 600+ source hub can white-label reports for each client, but must monitor platform changes. Recent Forrester research highlights that 88% of B2B marketers face foundational gaps, underscoring the need for solid data infrastructure before AI-driven insights can deliver ROI.
- Source Coverage Risk CurveConcept
The Source Coverage Risk Curve maps the trade-off between a reporting connector's breadth of integrations and the agency's exposure to vendor lock-in. Agencies that standardize on a single connector with deep coverage, such as Funnel's 600+ sources, can build proprietary templates and charge premium retainers, but they become vulnerable if the vendor changes pricing, deprioritizes a channel, or discontinues an integration. Lighter tools like Porter Metrics serve SMBs with fewer sources but lower switching costs. The framework urges agencies to plot their own position: the more sources a connector aggregates, the more critical it becomes to negotiate contract terms, maintain raw data exports, and periodically re-evaluate alternatives. As AI agents reshape buyer discovery, Forrester notes that 88% of B2B marketers face foundational gaps, making data portability a strategic hedge. Agencies should treat source coverage as a risk curve, not a simple feature checklist.
- Reporting Stack GravityConcept
Reporting Stack Gravity describes how agencies that standardize on a single multi-source reporting connector create a gravitational pull that locks in clients and justifies premium retainers. By building proprietary templates, automated delivery, and AI-ready data pipelines on one platform, agencies reduce per-client delivery costs while increasing switching costs for clients. The framework warns that this gravity can become a trap if the chosen connector's source coverage or pricing shifts, forcing an expensive migration. For example, an agency using Funnel's 600+ source coverage can offer a client a unified dashboard that replaces five separate tools, making the retainer feel indispensable. However, if Funnel raises prices or drops a critical source, the agency faces a painful re-platforming. The strategic move is to standardize but maintain exportable data schemas and periodically audit alternative connectors like Supermetrics or Whatagraph to keep options open.
Decision and risk
How to judge the fit, and the ways it goes wrong.
- Multi-Source Reporting Rule: Standardize on One Connector Before Scaling Client DashboardsEvaluation Rule
Standardize on one multi-source reporting connector before scaling client dashboards, but re-evaluate annually to avoid vendor lock-in.
- Multi-Source Reporting Rule: Audit Source Coverage Before You CommitEvaluation Rule
Audit the connector's source coverage against your actual client platform mix before standardizing, and re-audit quarterly to catch coverage shifts.
- Standardize on One Connector vs Diversify Across MultipleDecision Framework
IF your agency serves 10+ clients with recurring reporting needs and can invest in building proprietary templates, THEN standardizing on a single connector like Supermetrics or Funnel.io enables premium retainers and faster delivery. IF your client mix is heterogeneous or you fear vendor lock-in, THEN diversify across connectors like Whatagraph to hedge against pricing or coverage shifts.
- The Connector-Lock Trap: Why Multi-Source Reporting Stalls When Your Single Vendor ShiftsFailure Pattern
- The Template-Only Trap: Why Multi-Source Reporting Fails to Prove Client ROIFailure Pattern
- Supermetrics vs Funnel vs Whatagraph (Agency Delivery Reality)Tool Comparison
The right connector depends on whether your agency sells the report or the analysis behind it. Whatagraph's white-label reports make it a fit for agencies that want to own the client presentation layer, while Supermetrics and Funnel serve agencies that need raw data flowing into their own BI stack. Standardizing on one connector lets you build proprietary templates and charge premium retainers, but keep an eye on source coverage and pricing shifts to avoid lock-in.

What agencies say about Supermetrics
“Price rises, product declines”
Price continues to increases but the speed, accuracy and support of the service are all in decline. Will be looking for an alternative.
Read on Trustpilot“stay away from that product”
stay away from that product. Totally errors all the time and high pricing... its frustrating to talk with them and also the website sometimes randomly shutdown... highly NOT recommended!!!
Read on Trustpilot“Customer since 2019, license shut off after refusing a 3x price hike”
We had been a loyal Supermetrics customer since 2019. The tools worked well, support was responsive – no complaints for years. Then they rolled out new pricing packages. For us, that meant 3x the cost for essentially the same usage. We declined the upgrade and wanted to stay on our existing plan. Supermetrics gave us a 2-month deadline to switch to the new packages. When we didn't, they deactivated our license. No compromise, no alternative offer, no loyalty consideration for a 5-year customer. Just cut off. If you pay reliably for five years and this is how you get treated, that tells you everything about how this company values its customers. I can't recommend Supermetrics. Not because of the product – that was solid. But because you only matter as a customer as long as you accept every price hike without pushback.

Answers about pricing, setup, implementation, and more
Supermetrics consolidates marketing data from 100+ sources (Facebook Ads, Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn Ads, Instagram Insights, etc.) into a single workspace, then automates delivery to BI tools (Looker Studio, Power BI), data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake), or AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT). It handles data cleaning, standardization, and live dashboard generation, eliminating manual exports and disconnected reporting. Agencies can also activate insights back to ad platforms for audience segmentation and campaign optimization.
Supermetrics offers 3 pricing tiers, starting at $55/mo (Starter) up to $222/mo (Growth). Agencies typically achieve 51% profit margins when reselling to clients.
No verified white-label program exists. Client-facing surfaces display the Supermetrics brand, so you cannot present a fully branded portal or dashboard to end clients. This limits positioning as a proprietary agency tool.
Yes. Supermetrics natively supports both Facebook Ads and Instagram Insights as data sources. Both are listed among the 100+ connectors and can be configured in the Connect module without requiring Zapier or API-only workarounds.
Setup time depends on the number of data sources and destinations. Connecting a single ad platform (e.g., Facebook Ads) to a single BI tool (e.g., Looker Studio) typically takes 10-20 minutes once API credentials are authorized. Multi-source setups with data warehouse destinations may require 30-60 minutes for initial configuration and testing.
Supermetrics is best suited for ecommerce and DTC brands managing multiple ad platforms, enterprise marketing teams with complex attribution workflows, and data-driven SMBs that need unified reporting. It also serves travel and hospitality operators and retail/FMCG brands running cross-channel campaigns.
Supermetrics does not publish explicit data retention or export policies in available documentation. Upon cancellation, you should assume data pipelines to BI tools and data warehouses will stop refreshing. Contact Supermetrics support to confirm whether historical data can be exported or if it is retained for a grace period.
Supermetrics allows multiple users per account (Growth plan and above), but it does not explicitly support multi-tenant sub-account hierarchies or white-labeled client portals. Each client typically requires a separate Supermetrics account, which increases per-client costs and administrative overhead for agencies managing 10+ clients.
